Every piece in our collection begins in the hands of an Australian maker — a potter in the Dandenongs, a weaver in Castlemaine, a woodworker two doors down from our own studio. We commission in small batches, usually twenty pieces or fewer, and we wait as long as the work takes. Some vases spend three weeks in the kiln queue. We think the patience shows.
Materials are chosen to age rather than date: local stoneware clays, European flax woven and stonewashed for softness, salvaged oak rubbed with nothing but oil. There are no seconds hidden in our shelves and no seasonal churn — when a form is right, we keep it, and when a piece sells out, it returns only when its maker is ready.
“Every piece feels like it was already loved before it reached our shelf. The vase we bought three years ago still stops guests mid-sentence.”Helena — collected since 2021
