Privacy
Nothing sneaky going on.
This is the whole policy, in plain English. It is short because the site does very little with your data, which is exactly how we like it.
The short version
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party trackers. The only personal information we hold is what you choose to send us, and we use it for one thing: talking to you about a website.
What we collect when you browse
Nothing, deliberately. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to. Our hosting provider (Vercel) briefly processes standard request data, like your IP address, to deliver the site securely, the same way any web server does. One exception worth naming: our demonstration showcase pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so when you open a demo, Google receives the standard request data involved in serving a font file.
What we collect when you contact us
If you email, WhatsApp us or use the enquiry form (which simply opens an email in your own mail app), we receive whatever you send: typically your name, your business name, a location and how to reach you. We use it to reply, to research your business and to build or quote your website. We never sell it, and we never share it beyond the services we run on, our email is hosted with Google Workspace and our sites with Vercel. Messages stay in our inbox for as long as we might genuinely need the conversation; ask us to delete yours and we will.
Websites we build before you ask
Part of how we work is building a first version of a website for a local business using only what that business has already made public: its Google listing, reviews, photos and social pages. We never use private information, and we never invent facts. If we have built something for your business and you would rather it did not exist, one message to us and it comes down.
Client websites
Websites we build for clients belong to those clients, and what they do with customer information on their own sites is up to them. This policy covers northlightweb.com only.
Your rights and questions
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email spiro@northlightweb.com or WhatsApp +61 480 397 378. If you are unhappy with how we have handled something, tell us first and we will sort it; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If the site ever starts doing more than it does today, for example if we add privacy-friendly visitor counting, we will update this page before it happens. Last updated 26 August 2026.
